A Φ15.88×16R×1P progressive fin stamping die for the Aomate AC125 H-type press — staggered, V-corrugated fins for HVAC and refrigeration heat exchangers.
Progressive fin stamping die, model Φ15.88×16R×1P, built to run on an Aomate AC125 H-type fin press (125T, 50mm slide stroke).
Fin specification: 38.1mm hole pitch within a row, 33mm pitch between rows, Φ16.4mm fin hole, 330mm width (single row), staggered hole pattern, V-shaped corrugated fin surface, stamped in continuous strips of 4 to 52 holes per fin length. Normal working speed is 140–200 SPM.
Compatible materials: 8006/8011 aluminum foil (O or H22 temper, hydrophilic coating) and stainless steel, both at 0.203mm thickness and 542mm ±1mm width. Collar height is adjustable from 1.27mm to 6.35mm.
Punching process (7 stages):
1. Drawing — completed in multiple steps; height is set independently at each step via a German-made SIKO regulator on the die.
2. Piercing — punching completes early in the press stroke, before the draw finishes. The piercing sub-die uses an independent guide-post/guide-sleeve structure for forming accuracy and long service life, with replaceable backing plates to protect the lower die plate. Punch-to-die concentricity is held within 0.002mm for full interchangeability of wear parts. Punches are air-purged in both directions with automatic mist lubrication for forced chip removal.
3. Reflare — collar height adjusts arbitrarily via the same SIKO regulator.
4. Side cutting — an independent structure trims excess side material with a double-edged upper knife for extended tool life; the side-cutting position can shift 1–2 rows left or right to accommodate thicker material.
5. Row slitting — upper and lower blades cut any number of fin rows in a quick-swap, drawer-type cartridge (upper plate covers columns 1–7); blades are universally interchangeable with a controlled gap for clean, fringe-free strip cutting.
6. Feeding — a pull-type feed uses fine grippers seated in the formed holes, driven by a connecting rod between die and press; feeding fingers are SKD11 tool steel to hold positioning accuracy over long production runs.
7. Cut-off cutting — length-wise cutoff is actuated by cylinder, solenoid valve and the press's electrical control, using oil-free lubrication at the cut face. An independent adjustment sets each row's fin curvature; cut-off position can shift half a progression for precise, collision-free hole alignment, with a limiter for fast, repeatable positioning.
Build quality: wear parts (piercing punch/die, row-cutting, side-cutting, cut-off cutting) are ASP30 tool steel from Sweden at HRC62–64; upper/lower plates are P20 pre-hardened steel (China); the sub-die frame is PDS5 pre-hardened steel (Japan); punch/die fixing plates and strippers are PDS5 pre-hardened steel (Germany). All guide posts, sleeves, the feed shaft and side-cutting parts run on timed, metered lubrication; screws, pins and springs are metric standard.
Quality assurance: 12-month warranty from delivery/acceptance, with lifetime paid maintenance available. Punching parts are guaranteed for 25 million+ strokes on aluminum foil before resharpening is needed, at 0.05–0.1mm per regrind, with at least 10 regrinds available over the die's service life. On-site commissioning by our engineer is available for installation on the buyer's own press.
